Metall Pfister represents alphamesh at SWISSBAU

Over a period of five days, i.e. January 14 to 18, 2020, Swissbau hosts in Basel every major player in the Swiss planning, construction, and real estate industry. The leading Swiss trade fair only opens its doors every two years, so that all these construction trades can be brought together under one roof. Although Swissbau is comparatively small compared to other industry fairs, the value delivered by its exhibitor pool is second to none. In figures: 902 exhibitors from 17 nations from the areas of planning, shell construction and building envelopes, building engineering and interior design showcased on 110,000 sqm of exhibition space.

Switzerland is also an important market for alphamesh. Our ring and scale meshes were presented at the stand of Metal Pfister, our Swiss sales partner. And as always, the extravagantly designed stand was a real head-turner. The Swiss trade fair and event construction company BOST Productions has been designing, producing, and realizing unusual stand concepts for Metall Pfister for years.
For this year’s Swissbau, BOST Productions had transformed the stand into a stage-like, maritime world made of metal and integrated the alphamesh scale mesh into the design. In addition to an anchor and waves made of expanded metal, a giant octopus adorned the front of the stand. Its eyes and tentacles sprawling over the floor were decorated and covered in detail with alphamesh scale mesh. The varying light made the scale mesh shimmer in ever-changing hues. This was well received by the stand visitors because it conveyed the manifold applications of the scale mesh.
