alphamesh safety systems in the Brühl City Library
The Brühl City Library relies on state-of-the-art safety technology and elegant design: the information desk is reliably protected by a U-shaped night closure made of alphamesh safety systems.
Around 30 m² of alphamesh 12.0 stainless steel mesh is used, which blends in perfectly with the architecture. During the day, the system disappears invisibly into the ceiling, preserving the open and inviting character of the library.
In the evening, the robust ring mesh curtain lowers and is securely locked with the help of electromagnets embedded in the counter. This solution protects the information desk from unauthorized access and at the same time provides a stylish aesthetic.
Laser sensors installed in the ceiling ensure maximum safety. These prevent injuries by automatically stopping the system as soon as people or objects are detected during ascent or descent.
With this innovative concept, alphamesh combines design, functionality and safety at the highest level.
