A fixture of Sydney’s skyline. The office building on 1 Bligh Street in Sydney stretches 139m into the sky. But it isn’t the height of the building in the Sydney harbour skyline that makes it unique. Number 1 Bligh Street, the building with an unobstructed view of the harbour and the opera house, is unique as it is the first ever building in Australia to be honoured with the „6 Star/World Leadership” certificate from the Australian „Green Star” environmental standards agency.
Number 1 Bligh Street is the perfect symbiosis of design, technology and sustainability; virtues which are also evident in the alphamesh 12.0 curtain on the ground floor of the building. The 17m high and 90m long transparent mesh surrounds the outdoor area of the building’s kindergarten and defines a space that offers the highest possible degree of visual freedom.
